Amberlake Welcomes James Tang as New Special Counsel in Property and Commercial Law

Sydney, 30 October – Amberlake is proud to announce the appointment of James Tang as Special Counsel, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to delivering exceptional services in the area of property transaction and banking and finance.

James is a highly accomplished solicitor with extensive experience in providing strategic legal advice to both domestic and international clients. He has successfully guided individuals, developers and institutions through complex property transactions, including large-scale commercial land and building transactions, development projects, and compliance with foreign investment regulations and policies (FIRB).

James in his previous roles was pivotal in managing landmark projects, including the acquisition and sale of commercial properties ranging from AUD$15 million to AUD$150 million. Most notably, he was instrumental in the land and business acquisition of the Intercontinental Hotel Double Bay, valued at AUD$134 million, and its subsequent sale for AUD$178 million.
