Anthony Macklin, a former Detective Inspector with the NSW Police Force, is a highly motivated and performance-driven, versatile leader with broad operational and strategic experience. He has a proven history of achieving successful outcomes in high-risk environments, utilising an adaptable approach.
Anthony’s law enforcement career saw him undertake roles in the Child Protection & Sex Crimes Squad investigating complex, protracted serious and serial sexual offences across the state. He worked with the Child Exploitation Internet Unit, was a member of the Public Order Group where he was deployed to the Redfern Riots in 2004. He has experience as a Bodyguard for the Prime Minister and other international dignitaries as well as leading one of the largest proactive crime teams in the state. Anthony’s skill set saw him endorsed as a trainer for the NSW Police in Investigation, Risk Management, Emergency Management and Defensive Driving. As an Inspector Anthony oversaw operations of up to three Police Commands at a time managing the Policing response to all high-level incidents. Additionally, his role saw him appointed to the senior management team of his respective Police Command.
Anthony is an avid martial artist having trained in 14 different martial styles. He has also run seminars for Police and Law enforcement officers in the practical application of defensive and de-escalation techniques. Anthony is best known for his tenacious and strategic approach to investigations and security issues and has developed a reputation for finding solutions where others have been unsuccessful.
